2017 Multiagency Western River Flood Punt Exercise Date: Tuesday, May 23, 2017 Time: 7:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Location: Mud Island River Park, South Boat Ramp near the Amphitheater Scenario: Due to sustained high water along the Lower Mississippi River and prolonged periods of heavy rain, the Loosahatchie River (Wolf River Chute in the EX) is overtopping its banks resulting in communities being flooded. There are a number of reports of people stranded in their attic spaces and are at risk of rising river water. Coast Guard WRFP and local agencies have been requested to conduct SAR in flooded communities in support of local emergency management officials.

Trolley Full Scale Exercise Date: Wednesday, June 21, 2017 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Location: 547 North Main Street (Trolley Facility) Scenario: MATA is preparing for the return of the rail trolleys. This exercise will simulate a mass casualty accident involving a trolley.
